• Where do the items you sell come from?
  100% of our items are donated from individuals, boutiques and wholesalers.
   
• Do you take broken pieces?
  Yes! We’ll use them in Design Camps and sell the upcycled pieces at Boutique Events.
   
• What do you do with the profits from Boutique Events?
  Initially they are being used to fund the Design Camps.  Eventually it becomes seed money for future enterprises of Matryoshka Haus that have a focus on social, spiritual and environmental issues.
   
• What is Matryoshka Haus?
  Matryoshka Haus is a US 501c3 charity which exists to spin out new projects, initiatives and social enterprises that bring transformation.  Sweet Notions is one of these initiatives.
   
• Why should I go first to Sweet Notions and not anywhere else?
  Not only do you have the chance to buy a unique accessory but you are also being kind to the environment and contributing to social projects.  Ethical accessorizing and alternative shopping, why not!
   
• What do you mean by Zero Waste?
  Our eco-guarantee: We aim for 0% waste; all items become part of our boutique collection or design workshops.  Even our bags and fixtures are made from recycled, reclaimed materials. 
   
• What’s so important about Hand-Made and Repurposing?
  it is important to recognize the value of traditional knowledge and skills. Although "crafting" is being revived in certain circles, many traditions are dying out, particularly in the West. Through the training, we can extend those skills to dozens and eventually hundreds of women.
